Complaining is exhausting
We were tired of complaining about broken processes: within brands and especially within agencies that we worked for and with. So we started pinpointing what wasn’t working. Then we made the conversation constructive and decided to do something about it.
We literally went down the list and cut out the shadiness—from staffing, pricing, scoping, everything. Here’s where we landed.
We know what we don’t know
We won’t pretend to have skills that we don’t have.
There are going to be moments where the thing you need is something that we can’t (directly) give you. At that point we will connect you to those who can make it happen. We’re not into the standard agency “never say you can’t do something” operating procedure. Our network is one of our core strengths. We’ll be transparent when we need to tap into it.
This isn’t our only hustle
And that’s a good thing. Because we are building other things, we only take on the projects that get us excited—that we truly want to work on.
We have the prerequisite years of experience on both the brand and the service side of the business, but our strength lies in the breadth of viewpoints. We are not in the business of following templates: each side project is a new start.
We’re going to ask a lot of questions
We’re not fans of the “sign the contract, go away and magically come up with a plan” move. Mainly because it doesn’t work. You know your brand better than we ever will. Close partnership throughout the process is required.
This is especially true at the beginning of an engagement. We call this phase zero. Whether it takes the form of an audit or workshop, it’s the most important step for us. We need to know what needs solving before we get to the actual solving. Without it, we can’t confidently say that the tools we give you will link back to the business.
